Hello Jim and Debi, I really enjoyed this interview and the many tips and ideas that you are sharing with women and especially moms with huge demands on their time, energy, and resources. I felt like I was there with you and wanted to chime in with my thoughts too. What fun! One thought I would like to add is this; moms and wives who are perpetuating the idea in their minds that they don't have time to take care of and tend to themselves might want to consider the idea that "if you keep telling yourself you don't have time-you WON'T have time. If you keep telling yourself that cooking, laundry, shopping, etc., are all MORE IMPORTANT than the twenty minute walk and the twenty minute total gym or weight training session, you can't help but believe it. First change your mind, then your self talk. Second, with the help of your coach or friends, get a personal trainer who will come and work with you at home if necessary, until you get going. At the very least, get on the fitness channel and do Taebo or something for just twenty minutes every day until you can do more. Your body believes everything you say so say something you want to believe and make it the truth. For months I had to push through my resistance to walking after dinner. The first half of the walk I had to stop myself from cutting it short and going back to relaxing and TV or telephone time. Now I can't wait and I eat less because I hate walking with my stomach too full. I love the energy I get from walking two miles twice a day. The very first step to changing your life is changing your mind. Then take action. Walk your talk and you will manifest the change you wish to see. Thank you for the interview and sharing your stories and encouragement with all of us. Alexandra Barrett "Healthy Wealthy Boomer:The Plan To Make the 2nd Fifty Years Better Than the 1st"
